Battle of the St Bart's beauties as Victoria's Secret models Alessandra Ambrosio and Miranda Kerr go head-to-head

It was a supermodel face-off as Victoria's Secret models Miranda Kerr and Alessandra Ambrosio hit the beach.

While the pair may well work for the same lingerie line - there was no doubt that there was some hot competition between them.

And it appeared Brazilian model Alessandra, 28, won the contest, after stripping down to a sexy white bikini among an array of other skimpy swimwear numbers.

Meanwhile Australian star Miranda, who dates actor Orlando Bloom, was relatively covered up in comparison as she strutted around in a striped red dress.

She made a costume change into some white shorts and blue T-shirt later.

But the 26-year-old was left in the shade as Alessandra upped the ante in a multicoloured bikini and took to a surfboard for some more shots

But Australian star Miranda remained a little more covered up for the shoot


Another outfit change later and the brunette was writhing around the in the sand on the beach at St Bart's in a colourful leopard print swimsuit.
The mother-of-one worked her magic in the beautiful Caribbean water as she and her friend Kerr were photographed for a new Victoria's Secret catalogue.

Keeping busy on the career front, Ambrosio displayed a design by Colcci last week at the Sao Paulo Fashion Week in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Alessandra will be appearing in French Elle magazine in the coming months, along with her Victoria’s Secret duties
