Meet the parents! Frankie Sandford introduces new beau Wayne Bridge to her mother and father as they meet for dinner

Dinner date: Frankie Sandford was first seen with Wayne Bridge earlier this month after they had enjoyed a romantic lunch


They've been seen together several times in recent weeks, quickly establishing themselves as the next big pop star-footballer coupling.

But now it looks as if things may be getting serious between The Saturdays' Frankie Sandford and Manchester City footballer Wayne Bridge.

The 22-year-old pop star took Wayne, 30, to dinner with her parents on Monday night, at Hakkasan restaurant in Central London.

Clearly Wayne was keen to impress Frankie's mother and father Kevin and Julie with the choice of restaurant.

Hakkasan, which has branches in Mayfair and Hanway Street in central London, is one of only a handful of Chinese restaurants to be awarded a Michelin star. It was given the accolade in 2003.

Frankie - who has reverted back to being a brunette after briefly turning blonde last month - was stylishly dressed for dinner in a short black dress teamed with black shoes and an animal print belt.

Wayne, meanwhile, opted for a more casual look of brown jacket and faded jeans.

And rather than relying on her cab driver father Kevin for a lift home this time, Frankie went off in Wayne's car after they left the restaurant.

The pair were first spotted together earlier this month picking up a DVD from a Blockbuster rental store.

An onlooker described them as looking 'completely smitten' and 'very touchy-feely'.
A few days later they were seen together in Alderley Edge, Cheshire, where Wayne has a £2m home.

The couple enjoyed a romantic pub lunch together before walking back hand in hand to Wayne's mansion.

The singer's burgeoning relationship comes less than two months after she dumped ex-boyfriend Dougie Poynter who she shared a North London flat with.

The Essex-native and McFly bassist, 23, first split in March last year after 20 months together, but reunited a few weeks later, before breaking up again in late November.

Poynter has since admitted he was 'gutted' by the break-up, calling it 'totally unexpected'.

Frankie celebrated her 22nd birthday over the weekend with a party at Chinawhite in London, attended by bandmates Vanessa White, Una Healy and Rochelle Wiseman - although Mollie King was unable to attend due to a knee injury.

The band have also been busy rehearsing ahead of their tour which begins in February.
