Mary J. Blige Desires Anita Baker for Jazz Album

Mary J. Blige promises it won't be long for her fans to witness her recording a jazz album and joining forces with Anita Baker

There is chance that Mary J. Blige switches her Hip-Hop/R&B/soul roots for jazz music in her next album. In a recent interview with The Canadian Press, the singer revealed she wants Anita Baker as her collaborator should she record a jazz album.

"I haven't had a chance to collaborate with Anita Baker yet. So when I do my jazz album, Anita, I'm coming for you," Mary explained. "I have no idea when I'm going to do the jazz album, but it can't be long. It won't be long." As for why she chooses jazz among other music genres, she said she wants to try a more classic sound.

Mary J. Blige has just released her ninth studio album "Stronger with Each Tear" across U.S. on December 21. Boasting duet songs with Drake, T.I. and Trey Songz, the album is estimated to pull in around 300,000 to 350,000 in its first week on sale.
