Knocked out of the style stakes: Hayden Panettiere fails to pack red carpet punch in skimpy white dress at boxing match

Losing look: Hayden Panettiere opted for a brave style choice at a boxing match in Germany but the spaghetti straps, ruched detailing and plunging neckline did not flatter her petite frame


There are not many people who could get away with such a skimpy dress but Hayden Panettiere was willing to try the style on for size.

The Hollywood actress arrived at the WBC heavyweight championship world boxing fight in an extremely flimsy and revealing white strappy dress, which failed to pack a red carpet punch.

And while the plunging neckline, spaghetti straps and ruched detailing was a brave style choice she probably could have done with a bit more support and the dress failed to flatter her petite frame.

The 21-year-old actress who was in Germany to cheer on her boxer boyfriend’s brother Vitali Klitschko, opted for a pair of nude tights and a pair of nude Christian Louboutin heels.

The Heroes star carried a Ukrainian flag and became animated as the boxer defended his title.

She was set next to Vital’s wife Natalia, who opted for a much more subtle outfit consisting of a black dress with an oversized waist belt and sheer black tights.

Hayden has been dating Wladimir,34, Vitali’s brother since 2009 and appears to have a good relationship with Natalia.

But the match didn’t last for long as Vitali won the fight knocking out his Cuban challenger Odlanier Solis.

One of the Klitschko brothers is set to face British boxer David Haye who will be defending his WBA world heavyweight title in July.

Honoured sportsman: Earlier this month Wladimir was presented with an award at the Steiger awards and attended the event with Hayden


Wladimir is still struggling with a stomach injury and if he is unable to play Vitali will step in to face Haye.

Earlier in the month Hayden and Wladimir attended the Steiger Awards in Germany, where the boxer was honoured with an award.

The boxer was recognised in the sport category for his achievements in boxing over the past year.
