Coronation Street's Helen Flanagan wears tiny black dress and thigh-high boots... to pop to the petrol station

Revealing: Helen Flanagan wore a tiny black dress and thigh-high boots as she popped to the local petrol station in Bolton yesterday

When popping to the local petrol station to pick up a pint of milk or newspaper, most people would opt for a casual outfit such as jeans or tracksuit bottoms.

But then, most people aren't Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan.

The 20-year-old actress decided to wear a tiny black dress and matching black heeled thigh-high boots as she headed to the petrol station in Bolton yesterday.

Covering up: Helen teamed the risqué outfit with a taupe cardigan, which did little to conceal her choice of clothes

But Helen, who plays Rosie Webster in the ITV soap, did attempt to maintain some of her modesty by covering up her outfit in a long taupe knitted cardigan.

However, what she may not have factored in to her choice of cardigan is that it was virtually completely see-through - doing little to conceal her dress.

And her risqué clothing caught the eye of a delivery man who was taking crates of milk into the petrol station.

Giggling when she realised she was being watched, Helen continued on her way, leaving just a stunned delivery man in her wake.

Shocked: Helen couldn't hide her surprise when she saw the story about co-star Graeme Hawley on the front of the newspapers

But she soon stopped laughing when she spotted the newspapers, many of which featured stories about how her co-star Graeme Hawley had been 'attacked' by a soap fan angry at his character's on-screen affair with her schoolgirl character Rosie.

Looking shocked, Rosie quickly picked up the paper and read the story.

However, Hawley has since denied the claims, and says he was bemused by the story, which claimed the man got the actor in a headlock before fleeing.

Leggy lady: Helen was today spotted filming scenes for Coronation Street dressed in a cropped top, denim hotpants and sky-high wedge heels

He said: 'I suddenly started getting calls this morning from friends and family asking if I was OK - I had no idea what they were talking about until someone pointed out the story.

'I have never been grabbed in a headlock by anyone. Occasionally people will make jokey comments about John - particularly throughout the Rosie storyline - but it is always in good humour and I have never felt threatened.'
