At first I thought this was some stupid thing he did (he always does stupid things) for luck or maybe he was used to wearing pink. But actually he is wearing his tape that was red and socks that were white. FIFA insists that players aren't allowed wear tape that isn't the colour of the socks. Having said that, the marker is pink...not red...
