'I plan on adopting,' says Jessica Alba as she dotes on treasured daughter Honor Marie

As Jessica Alba keeps a close eye on daughter Honor Marie, it's clear the 22-month-old is the apple of her eye.

The doting mother held her daughter's hand tightly as they arrived for an Easter party in Camarillo, California yesterday.

Honor could soon find herself a big sister - after Valentine's Day actress Jessica revealed her plans to adopt.

The 28-year-old, married to film producer Cash Warren, said: 'If you have the love, and the capacity to love children, you should just adopt. And I plan on doing it.

After working with a family who foster children on the U.S. TV show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, she said: 'My mom grew up around a huge family, and they always wanted more kids, and I was like, "Why don’t you just adopt?"'

Yesterday Honor was dressed for the Easter celebration in a white coat, pink tights and bronze Mary Janes, with a flowered headband in her hair.

She proudly carried her favourite knitted dolly in her hand.

Honor is rarely pictured without the treasured bean doll, which she takes everywhere.

Her mother wore a blue flowered dress, teamed with leather boots and jacket.

She was loaded down with a bag of Easter gifts, and a straw Easter bag.
