MAC Haul - Style Black

Everyone was so hyped for the Style Black Collection, that I expected everything to be sold out or something by the time I got there a few days late. Everything was there though. lol Although I'm not sure if the Volcanic Ash Exfoliator was sold out or not.. I didn't ask because I really wasn't too interested in it. There is a huge hype about it though, and its sold out everywhere.. which makes me kind of want it. lol so I don't know if I can get my hands on one.. maybe I'll purchase it. The only thing I wanted from the collection were the mineralize eye shadows. The main colors that stuck out to me was the black, purple and golden one.. I didn't care for the blue one because I just don't really wear blue much. I ended up only getting the purple (Young Punk) and the golden ones (Gilt by Association). I kind of want to go back for the black one (Cinderfella) I just felt like at the time of purchasing it that I don't need it.. and there are probably lots of dupes and similar colors I have. The girl at MAC also gave me a sample of the thermal mask.. which i'm loving.. :)

I swear, I have shadows that look exactly like this when blended. I'm going to go through my eye shadows and post which ones they are.

This stuff looks like fresh tar.. or oil.. lol and it goes on your face black. I rubbed it in my face with a little water and it has a nice heating effect.. my skin felt really good after wards. I felt like my pores were less visible.



I looked at the new Dazzleglass Creme's and they were pretty.. but they kind of reminded me of the pink nyx round glosses I have.. so I didn't get any of them. I did notice they had all of the dazzleglasses. I thought they were Limited Edition, but the sales girl told me due to popular demand they are part of the permanent line now. Cool to know.. my Macy's I go to to purchase all of my MAC didn't have them (I was at Nordstroms) so, I decided to buy "Smile" which is a light coral with pink and gold pearl. My best friend bought "Like Venus" which is a gorgeous bubble gum pink with red pearl. She paired it with Myth Lipstick and it looked so pretty. I'm going to buy it when I have extra money.

I wanted "Smile" ever since I saw Kourtney wearing it in this pic.. it looks so pretty on her!


And, I decided to break down and purchase "Carbon" eyeshadow. I have a love/hate with this eye shadow. I love it, its the best for smokey eyes/dark looks/liner and for darkening colors in the crease, etc. But I purchased it twice before and they both shattered and I have black all over hair stuff of mine, makeup, my bedroom carpet.. ugh! I have no idea why they were breaking on me.. Neither of them hit pan. Actually, the 2nd one broke and I only had it for probably 2 weeks. I was so mad.. and decided never to buy it again.. I like NYX Black eyeshadow for a dupe, but I just love Carbon not to buy it again. I'm going to be super careful with it. :)

I also got a travel size Zoomlash.. I've been wanting to try it forever and I'm liking it a lot! It's nothing crazy to rave about.. but it's definitely a mascara I would repurchase though.. it gives me pretty decent length and you can get good volume pretty quick with it.



On a few days prior, I bought a back up bottle of Fix Fluid in NC40 on days where I don't want to wear my pricey MUFE foundation.

I also got Studio Fix Powder in NC42. I had a little bit of a problem with NC40 in the Fix powder. It was a little too light and tad a slight pink to it. It wasn't yellow enough.. The sales lady said definitely get NC42. So, yeah. I used it once and its too dark. It makes me look orange. I'm sort of pissed about that. I'm probably going to try swapping it b/c I don't like returning used makeup. I originally wanted to get Studio Tech, which I was going to get NC42 in as well b/c she said they run light.. and they were out. THANK GOD. She gave me a sample and i think its too dark as well.. I don't think I'll ever buy any shade darker than 40, if it runs light I'll just use a bronzer and deal with it. *sigh*
