Screen Printed T-shirts: Everyone’s Style Statement

A t-shirt is a style statement, when it is imprinted with your own slogan it adds more style and attitude to one’s personality. There are many prints available to cater to all moods and occasions. Theme t-shirts are usually used to denote patronage to a certain team, occasion or corporate employees. Customized t-shirts are high on demand for promotional or corporate gifts. Screen printing is the best available method to produce such t-shirts.
Screen printing is one of the most popular methods to personalize products. The primary process uses a mesh or screen, stretched around a stiff frame. Areas which are unable to print are masked out on the screen. The framed screen is placed over things which are required to be printed with a dollop of rich ink. The ink is then pushed all over the screen. The masked which doesn’t requires printing put off the ink from accumulating but the targeted uncovered area permits ink to be printed on the available fabric or any other material. The final step requires sending things on a conveyor belt by way of a heat-tunnel. This method is perfect for simple one or two color graphics but is not as good for multicolor jobs. For multicolored screen printing photosensitive emulsions are used to generate the masked areas. If the ink dries faster the materials could be heaped or packaged and better results can be obtained. Accurately treated screen printing would certainly stay on the printed substrate even under unfavorable conditions. For t-shirt screen printing same method is applied but the print for the t-shirts must be eye catching and self-explanatory. T-shirts can now be used as a canvas for an artist to express his emotions. With personal screen printing kit one can portray his/her own life style statement on a t-shirt.Screen printed t-shirts are also ready to cater corporate requirements. Companies can imprint t-shirts with their logos accompanied with their custom message. It can help them to motivate their employees and to communicate with the potential clients. Customized t-shirts with screen printing are continuously bursting the popularity charts as promotional gift items.

Celebrities clothing lines

Fashion and celebrities work hand in hand, either of them is incomplete without other. Celebrities rely on fashion to become celebrated and plug in the social circuit whereas fashion uses celebrities to brand their products, they are like two sides of the same coin, both have mass appeal, everyday reach and a quotient of unprecedented glamour attached to them. To give an example a brand of jeans wore by a celebrity becomes a hot cake within hours on the internet shopping sites. People dream to be dressed like celebrities and they take pride in identifying and imitating their dressing style. There are thousands of Blogs which features garments apparels wore by celebrity and the look alike available in the online stores; if at all the brands are unreachable for the common public. Celebrities have become the trend makers of the 21st century.

Magazines bank on the information of what the celeb would be is or was wearing at particular event. Parties are being organized to exhibit flashy makeup and different looks of the celebrities which become trends for the coming season. Celebrities clothing lines are the outcomes of exploiting publics obsession with particular celebrity style. Celebs with distinguished style of their own (at time even those who do not have one) can license their name to product lines and earn millions. The articles talks about few of the most famous celebrities who have successfully introduced their clothing lines.

Essential Baby Clothes

If you are expecting a baby in the next few months, the chances are you will have started planning for some of her important things, if not doing them and buying them already. Her crib may be chosen; her nursery may be painted and decorated; you may have some beautiful bedding to match the baby decor of her room; and you may have bought a few gorgeous newborn outfits with which to adorn your newborn. However, there may be a whole host of things you have not really thought of seriously, especially if you are a first time parent. It is so tempting to focus on the pretty things, and forget, or not learn of, the practical ones. So, when it comes to baby clothes, leave all the cute outfits to the baby shower guests, and concentrate for a while on the things you will really need. After all, you do not want your baby to be caught with her diapers down. Having a baby is a combination of joy and stress for most people, and I suppose that is true of most major events in our lives. There is nothing to compare to the pleasure and happiness that a mother feels when she holds her new baby for those first few days after the birth; or the father showing off pictures of the baby to his friends and family. Unfortunately, there is also nothing quite like the stress in worrying that everything is going to be all right on the night, or day, as the case may be. To reduce the chance of those stresses taking over, and to ensure that the family is properly prepared for their joyous new addition, it is as well to get organised with the practical things for the baby layette. Let the person who is to organise the baby shower sort out all that side of things, while you ensure all the most practical items are in place by month 7 of the pregnancy. New parents quite often fall into the trap of being unprepared when it comes to suitable clothing for their baby. So, here are some of the essentials you will need to complete your preparation for the baby's arrival:
1. Cotton bodysuits, absorbent baby blankets, bibs, and baby booties are items that a new parent can never have enough of. Babies, God Bless them, are messy little things sometimes. For all the cuteness and adorability that they possess, they do dribble, slobber, vomit and overfill their diapers with some of their profuse outputs, and they are like that for about the first year or so of their lives. As such, their clothes do get messy quickly and often; so be prepared, and be practical. A mum may find herself changing her baby’s clothing almost as often as she changes her diaper – sometimes more.
2. The best plan is to stock up on the practical things such as “onesies” suits, baby tees, and mess-cleaning cotton blankets so that you always have plenty on hand. Buy these practical items in abundance, but not so many that you’ll quickly be stuck with a pile of baby items that no longer fit the baby. It is a good idea to have at least five clean outfits at any time; that is clean items, and not awaiting the next wash. If you are going out on a long outing, you will need to pack extra, so always make sure that you have plenty of clean backups. Do not underestimate your little baby's ability to take your laundry load to record levels, unlike anything you have seen before if you are a first time parent. The cute and adorable baby outfits, and the stores are stuffed full of those, are fine for taking baby to church, for visiting grandparents, or for taking family photos. However, be prepared for the baby to make a mess over that precious little outfit. While planning and preparing for the arrival of your new offspring, forego some of the cute outfits so that you can stock up on more of the practical essentials. The guests at the baby shower can provide the cute things, while you ensure that you are truly prepared for the reality of having a bouncing new baby in the house.

Summer Staple Dress

From bold tribal prints, neon shades and dip-dye, to frothy romantic florals, ruffles and sheer layers, this season’s new dresses are already making us long for summer. The spring/summer 2008 catwalk collections were super girly and the dress, of course, featured heavily. Here is our pick of the hottest new shapes. First up is the maxi dress. Back for a second year on the trot, this season the look is less boho peasant and more luxe hippy. Designers referenced cultures from all over the world from Aztec to Navaho, with intricate beading, a riot of colours, crazy prints and interesting trims all stomping down the catwalks. Take inspiration from Alexander McQueen’s striking techni-coloured feather printed styles or D&G’s billowing, ruffled, ditzy floral concoctions. Chunky accessories complete the look with a stack of bangles being the perfect foil. On the high street, the best styles can be found at French Connection, New Look and Mango.

40s tea dresses are also cooking up a storm for spring. Luella and Anna Sui’s cute floral numbers sent editor’s pulses racing. Both designers chose to give the look a punk twist, with models sporting neon hair and chunky boots, to save it from being too twee. This red dress from In Love With Fashion is a great shape and the bow detail is very of the moment. Debenhams, and Dorothy Perkins also have a good selection of 40s frocks for vintage mavens on a budget. An abundance of goddess-like Grecian one-shouldered gowns were the designers’ answer to chic evening dressing. Danielle Scutt’s strong gladiator-esque styles stood out from the crowd as did Lanvin’s elegant sheaths in incandescent shades. Head to TOPSHOP to bag one of Emma Cook’s sexy appliqué versions. M&S also have an amazing turquoise blue number.

Clothing for an Italy Vacation

Packing the wrong gear can make you feel out of place, uncomfortable and spoil your well deserved and meticulously planned vacations. The right clothes, on the other end will let you feel in tune with your surrounding, will help you blend in, feel at ease and enhance your experience. This crucial decision depends mainly on the time of the year and the destination of your trip. Italy is blessed with a mild climate but don't expect to wear fip flops if you go skiing on the Dolomites! During the summer (July/August/September) you'll need light clothing, but don't forget to pack a pullover or a light jacket for the evenings when, especially at the seaside or on the mountains, the temperature might suddenly drop. Shorts are not often worn in the cities and they might be a problem if you plan to visit churches and religious shrines especially if worn with tank tops. Spring (March/April/May) and Autumn (September/October/November) are characterized by unstable weather and often require a layering system of clothing. Generally a first layer of cotton with a jumper and a jacket over a pair jeans will do in most occasions allowing you to remove what is not needed. For winter (December/January/February) the same system will work if you make the layers a little warmer.

Always bring comfortable shoes, get ready for a lot of walking: after all renaissance town were not build for cars and most city centers are closed to traffic. Keep in mind high heels can be torture on the paved streets of Rome. To truly enjoy Italy you'll need your feet in good shape: no foot, no tourist! If you plan to go skiing you'll need all the specialized gear including those snow booths, woolen hats and gloves that might look unnecessary during your everyday town life. Swimming costumes in Italy are often lighter and smaller then their American counterpart, if you are so inclined, a beach vacation in Italy can be a good occasion to show off that tiny bikini. The general dressing style in Italy is smart casual and allows for a lot of improvisation. When deciding the amount of clothing to bring with you, keep in mind that in Italy public self service laundry facility are a rarity; check before hand if your accommodation offers a laundry service at reasonable prices. All said, you can choose to have a completely different approach to the big question what-to-wear-in-Italy. A very alluring perspective would be to start your trip with an empty suitcase: after all Italy is a well oiled fashion producing machine and you might just decide to buy what you need.

Baby Won't Wear Clothes

Most first time parents get a shock when at about fourteen months their darling decides they don’t want to wear clothes! The first thing to realise is that there is nothing unusual about this it is just a small part of baby growing up. Granted it can be quite embarrassing if you have guests around and baby decides to bear all! Embarrassing for you and the guest. Don’t get over excited and insist that baby wears his or her clothes ALL the time. No it is best if you set limits on when you will allow baby to un-cloth and when you will not all them to un-cloth. You are teaching baby a very important social norm at this point so be firm.

Once you have set your limits be firm, and enforce the rule. You may feel like screaming, but every time baby breaks the rules and starts to undress then redress him, again and again and again. Babies are not stupid and pretty soon they will get the message. Remember though babies are also great manipulators! Think carefully about when you are going to let baby ‘bear all.’ Common sense will dictate that this is best done when there is little likelihood of traffic into and out of the home. Baby may not be embarrassed by his physique but others outside the family might feel uncomfortable with a naked baby running around them. Because baby will feel less restricted without their clothes they will be rushing around that little bit more and are therefore more likely to get a knock on some of their more exposed areas. When naked time is over a good way of getting your child to re-robe is to let him or her pick their own clothing you can do this by laying out a small selection of suitable clothing. Most babies enjoy this exercise and in the long run they become more interested in clothing and it may even help them get over their naked period.

Baby Clothes Money Saving Shopping Tips for New Parents

Baby Clothes: 7 Money Saving Shopping Tips for New Parents : Perhaps the biggest problem with baby clothes is that they don't last. Not because they wear out, but because your baby quickly out grows them. It's important to plan your baby clothes shopping around the growth of your baby. If you don't, you could be wasting money. Keep in mind these seven tips while you plan your baby clothes shopping:

1. Wear a Larger Size People say babies grow fast, and they're right about that. You'll be wasting money if you buy perfect fitting clothes because they'll soon be too small. Buying a larger size will extend the amount of time your baby can wear them.
2. Make a Weather Prediction Stop and think for a moment about clothes labels that state size in terms of a baby's age, such as 12 or 18 months. Then ask this question: "When my baby is X months old, what will the weather or temperature be like?" Get the answer to this question correct and you'll buy clothes that not only fit, but also will be appropriate for the season.
3. Find Easy To Put On Outfits Sometimes you'll struggle to dress your baby into an outfit you want him to wear. Outfits that come in several pieces, button from behind or pull over the head may require more of your patience and time. Outfits that come in one piece, open in the front, have zippers, or snap buttons should be easier to deal with.
4. Have Enough for Emergencies Food can drop on your baby's clothes while you're feeding him. If your baby becomes sick, he might throw-up on his outfit. When a messy accident occurs, you'll need a clean set of clothes ready for your baby to wear.
5. Save at The Clearance Racks You can save a bundle at the clearance racks. Almost every type of store has these. In addition, if you wait for a big sale you can save even more. Some stores will also markdown the clearance item further at the cash register.
6. Accept Hand Me Downs Your family and friends may want to give you their children's baby clothes. They may have new clothes that their baby didn't have a chance to wear. If you decide to accept what they are willing to give, you'll save yourself some money, especially if they have clothing you would have bought.
7. Exchange Old Clothes for Cash Sell the clothes your baby no longer fits into on eBay. eBay is just an example. There are many other ways to trade your old clothes for cash. You may not make as much as you had originally paid for them, however, you'll at least earn some of your money back.

Silk Scarves - Treasures From The 1950s

Your mom's clothes shouldn't be given to Goodwill until you've seen if they might contain oversized silk scarves, which have become fashionable once more. They remind people of the high fashion of the 1950s and icons such as Jackie Kennedy and Grace Kelly. Even if you don't have a convertible to drive around in to show them off, they will definitely add color and style to your wardrobe. Scarves are everywhere in 2008. Think light, airy, flowing pieces that can be tied like it's winter or in any direction that inspires you. Many fashonistas have been draping both ends of the scarf around their necks. It doesn't have to perfect. That's the whole point. It's a way to add a piece of your personality to your outfit. After all isn't fashion just that, an avenue for self expression.

Scarves are attractive accessories twenty four hours a day. Whenever you look at photos of the rich and famous, they have a different scarf to accompany every possible outfit. Here's a great tip, remember to keep your scarf and your outfit in synch. If your clothes are busy or loud, go with a plain or solid scarf. This will keep everything in line. For me, a scarf is the perfect accessory for all the clothes in my wardrobe. No matter what part of your body is giving you trouble on the day, a scarf can keep it in line.

The cost of a scarf varies a great deal. However, a well-made scarf does cost. You pay for the quality of fabric and craftsmanship as well as elegant patterns. Names well known for the high quality of scarf produced are Hermes and Chanel. These famous brands have many classic designs. Bluefly.com and Shopbop.com carry a large selection if you want to shop at home. Sometimes, if you are really savvy, you may be fortunate enough to find a vintage Chanel or Hermes piece. Just remember, you will get what you pay for.

Women's Clothes Sizing Problem here The Solution

Over the past ten years, hundreds of shopping websites have appeared with specialist websites competing against the established high street brands. As much as the internet is shifting clothes shopping from the high street to the home (Internet clothing sales broke the £1bn barrier in 2006 and has increased by 54% in 2007, according to figures from market research company Mintel), the same challenges still apply: Visit the stores, find what you want to purchase and hope it's available in your size.

But what if there was a better way? Imagine for a moment your favourite shopping centre with all the stores you love to shop in. You would typically go from store to store looking for clothing you liked and when you finally found something you then look through the rail to see if it is available in your size. The you would walk to the next store and repeat the process. Finally after seeing everything that you liked it's decision time and you finally purchase it (assuming they have your size).

Now imagine your favourite shopping centre was taken down and rebuilt. This time there were nine floors instead of the usual one or two. Instead of each floor being full of separate shops, it is full of clothes that are all a set size. So for example the ground floor is filled only with size 6 clothing, the second floor full only of size 8 clothes, the third floor only had size 10 clothes... all the way up to the ninth floor which was purely size 22 clothes. Each floor would still have all the same items from all the top high street stores that it used to have, but this time you would simply select the floor that corresponded to you normal clothing size. Leaving you free to walk around that floor and see everything, in one place, that would fit you. What would normally take you an afternoon or day to do you could now do in a matter of minutes.

Why Does Organic Cotton Cost More

Good question. With today's economy going into the dumpster, everyone is trying to find as many bargains when and where we can. The more I read about organic, the more convinced I am that, in the long run, we are paying a much higher price when it comes to our environment, our health, and our future. So here are some reasons I found why organic cotton costs more:

• Organic uses untreated seeds, contends with weeds and insects in a non traditional manner that costs more than the conventional use of petroleum based fertilizers, toxic herbicides and pesticides that threaten to destroy our environment. My daddy was an organic farmer, rotating crops and using cow manure for fertilizer. My brother continues this practice today. Organic farming is going back in time utilizing these same principles.
• Organic cotton is more expensive to harvest. My mom grew up on a cotton farm in Arkansas. In 1915 cotton was harvested by hand - painful and labor intensive to say the least. Today all sorts of chemicals with names no one can pronounce (thidiazuron, carfentrazon, phraflufen on and on are used to defoliate and kill off the rest of the cotton plant after harvest. Organic cotton uses none of these methods.
• Organic cotton is more expensive to manufacture. One reason is that it's still a small market. And, the same manufacturing facilities are used for both conventional cotton and organic cotton processing. But before organic cotton can be processed, the cotton gin and machines have to be cleaned and sanitized upping the processing costs.
• Fair trade and fair wage plays an important role in this scenario as well. Companies who manufacture clothing made in the USA pay fair wages and benefits to their workers. No sweat shops paying pennies for a days work.
• It's the Big Guy vs the Little Guy. It costs the little organic cotton guy big dollars to ship, advertise and market their wares - more so than huge discount store operations with unlimited budgets.

The unfortunate truth is that organic cotton may always cost more. The good news is that we will see the price gap shrink as the organic cotton movement grows and people become more aware of the benefits organic has to offer. Whether it's hemp, cotton or bamboo - it's new thinking. It's forward thinking.
