Lindsay Lohan pines for her mother Dina's support as she dines out with father Michael

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Low-key: Lindsay Lohan pictured dining with her father Michael at the trendy Joans on Third restaurant in West Hollywood last night

When the world's on your shoulders, sometimes a mother's love is the only remedy.

And it would seem that is the case for troubled Lindsay Lohan, who is said to be pining for her mum Dina to pay her a visit.

Lindsay, who cannot leave California under the terms of her probation, dined out with her father Michael last night and was joined by a couple of friends for a low-key dinner

But tomorrow the 24-year-old actress - who was charged with a grand theft felony last week after allegedly stealing a $2,500 necklace - will get a visit from New York-based Dina.

Celebrity website TMZ reports that 48-year-old Dina is catching a flight on Monday bound for the west coast to spend some quality time with her daughter.

The pair are planning to spend time at LiLo's Venice pad and work out together, the source revealed.

Lindsay was pictured with father Michael last night at the trendy Joans on Third.
'They seemed really relaxed and enjoying themselves,' an eyewitness told RadarOnline.
'There looked to be some good family time going on. Lindsay looked fabulous and was smiling and chatting away with her dad.'

The party enjoyed a selection of cheeses and sandwiches, but Lindsay apparently barely ate a thing.

At the end of the meal Michael, who is divorced from Dina, sent Lindsay home with a bag full of prepared dishes from the take-out counter.

She kept it low-key, venturing out without any make-up on and wearing a black wrap and jeans.

Hollywood hotspot: Lindsay was turned away from a private party at The Sunset Marquis Hotel on Friday night

Earlier in the day she was spotted furniture shopping at Room Service, wearing a pair of black see-through leggings teamed with a top and jacket.

Her night out with her father comes after she was turned away from a private party on Friday night at The Sunset Marquis Hotel in West Hollywood.

The previous night she was spotted entering the Roosevelt Hotel in the early hours of the morning.

Reunited: Lindsay Lohan was spotted leaving Teddy's nightclub with her ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson on Thursday

No party here: Lindsay has denied that she was partying at Teddy's nightclub at the Roosevelt Hotel

However she denied she was there to party, saying she was meeting her on-off girlfriend Samantha Ronson there.

Taking to Twitter, she insisted she is taking her sobriety 'very seriously'.

Later this month the Mean Girls star will return to court over the $2,500 gold necklace which she allegedly stole from a jewellery store in Venice Beach last month. Lohan has pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Meanwhile it has emerged that Lindsay could be back in front of the cameras by late summer for the film Escaping The Game.

Denial: Lindsay posted on her Facebook and Twitter that she was only at the Roosevelt to meet Sam and to say happy birthday to a friend

The drama will be shot in the U.S. and Spain and producer Nathan Folks told RadarOnline that he is hopeful of getting the contracts signed soon.

The plot seem appropriate for Lohan - it follows a group of celebrity characters who struggle to cope with fame.

Several of them fake their own deaths and create a new life on a remote island and Lindsay would play the role of an investigator who is hired to get to the bottom of the disappearances.
