All alone: Vanessa Hudgens celebrates her 22nd birthday at Pure in Las Vegas

Luckily the singer and actress wasn't all alone - she was joined by her best friends Ashley Tisdale and Brittany Snow who joined Vanessa inside the club for the party.

Just last month she was hugging and kissing her boyfriend of four years, Zac Efron, as they waited for their car outside a hotel in Los Angeles.

But last night Vanessa Hudgens walked the red carpet alone at her own birthday party just a week after announcing their split.

The High School Musical star was at Pure Nightclub in Caesar's Palace Hotel and Casino to celebrate turning 22.

Vanessa looked stunning in a tight-fitting silver strapless bandeau dress and black high heels.

Inside the girls sat at a table in the VIP area and later in the night Vanessa was spotted dancing on a couch.

She was then presented with a huge, three tiered floral birthday cake with which she posed for pictures before security drew curtains around the group so they could enjoy some more privacy.

The ladies partied into the early hours before retiring to their hotel room.
Earlier in the day Vanessa was spotted preparing for her Las Vegas trip by running a few errands near her home in Studio City, California.

Dressed inappropriately for the unusually wet Los Angeles weather, the birthday girl wore a short slip dress under a cream knit cardigan with just knee high socks to keep her warm.

She also accessorised her outfit with a huge furry hat with big ears that looked as if it had been taken directly from a bear.
